Superior resistance
Titanium exhibits outstanding chemical and corrosion resistance at the highest temperatures and mechanical requirements. In contact with seawater, titanium shows superior corrosion resistance. Due to its low density, it offers weight reduction possibilities enabling a compact, efficient and reliable heat exchanger design.
Use under the most demanding conditions
Typical applications for finned tubes in titanium are cooling and heating functions in connection with seawater. These are mainly product coolers and refrigerant condensers in process engineering for offshore applications, natural gas liquefaction, in refineries as well as in chemical and petrochemical plants. Further typical applications are evaporators and condensers for large refrigerating plants as well as heat pumps for district cooling and heating systems or in marine applications. Finned tubes in titanium not only ensure long life but also efficient operation of the heat exchangers.
