cuproclean® – super clean inner surface

Especially in fresh water applications, the inner surface of copper tubes has to meet specific requirements. It has to be super clean and free from carbon film.
Our innovative process for the manufacture of cuproclean tubes removes carbon film which results in higher reliability, longer life and reduced maintenance cost.

Controlled quality

Of course, the absence of carbon film is tested and certified in our inspection certificate. The test is carried out according to DIN EN 1057. We meet the requirements of the nitric acid test (HNO3 test), thus providing evidence that not only soluble but also the firmly adherent residual carbon is removed from the inner surface.

Versatile

cuproclean is suitable for use in

• cooling ceilings
• drainback systems
• solar water heating systems
• water heaters and piping.

It is suitable for all fresh water applications. Copper offers outstanding characteristics due to its versatility and is characterised by excellent formability as well as good processing properties. cuproclean copper tubes are also available in combination with other qualities such as cuproform.

Please note: cuproclean is available in level-wound coils only from Wieland-Werke AG. A special Wieland process to clean the inner tube surface meets the high quality standard.

The super clean inner surface of cuproclean provides optimum corrosion resistance.

cuproclean must not be used as plumbing tube for domestic applications because plumbing tubes have to meet additional requirements according to DIN EN 1057.
